School Foundations make a huge difference in keeping alive art, music and other great programs for Sonoma County students.

That’s why I’m donating $1 to local schools for every copy of my fantasy novel, “Horse Stalker,” that is sold in September and October. That includes all print copies and ebooks sold.

Here are the dates for four Sonoma County book signings and the school groups that will benefit:

1:30 p.m. Saturday Sept. 10 – Santa Rosa Copperfield’s Books, a benefit for Schools Plus of Santa Rosa. * UPDATE * — Santa Rosa Copperfield’s is matching Robert’s gift, for a total of $2 for every book sold there in September and October.

1:30 p.m. Saturday Sept. 17 – Petaluma Cooperfield’s Books, a benefit for the Petaluma Educational Foundation.

1:30 p.m. Saturday Oct. 1 – Sebastopol Copperfield’s Books, a benefit for the Analy High School Education Foundation and El Molino High School Foundation.

12 p.m. Saturday Oct. 15 – Healdsburg Copperfield’s Books, a benefit for the Healdsburg Education Foundation.
