A dozen writers of a fictional serial that appeared last spring in The Press Democrat will read the story Saturday Sept. 22 at the Sonoma County Book Festival in downtown Santa Rosa.

The writers, both local authors and members of the newsroom, came together to create the “Sonoma Squares Murder Mystery.” It’s a thriller set in Sonoma County about a scheming killer and a young reporter who becomes part of the story.

The story appeared in print and online on this blog last spring. It’s now an e-book available at Amazon and Smashwords. To see all 16 writers and learn more, click here.

Writers will read the 16 brief chapters starting at 1 p.m. at the Redwood Writers Reading Circle on the east side of Old Courthouse Square. That’s in the public space near Rendez Vous Bistro.

It’s just one of scores of events happening at the all-day book festival, an annual celebration of authors and writing. You can learn more about the festival here.
