Silas Stafford takes a huge step forward in his dream to compete in the 2012 Olympics in London.
Santa Rosa High alum Angie Chau, author of the novel "Quiet As They Come," appears 7 p.m. Saturday Oct. 16 at Copperfield's Books in Montgomery Village.
Silas Stafford has rowed for Stanford University and Cambridge University. Now he's spending the next two years trying to make the U.S. rowing team for the 2012 Olympics in London.
